The Civil Rights Movement was a cultural push for equality by mostly Black AMericans. Black were pushing for equal rights, education, and equal opportunies in life. This movement was headed by Civil Rights Activist such as M.L.K and Malcolm X. -
Brown v. Board of Education,
Brown was a black child who was denied admission to public schools in her community because of her race. She was not denied access to schools for blacks set up under the “separate but equal” doctrine of Plessy. -

14-year-old African American from Chicagorutally murdered for flirting with a white woman. The jury ruled not guilty. -

Born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. King was a major leader in the Civil Rights Movement. Advicted Non-violence and civil disobedience. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. -

John W. Hinckley Jr. is the man that attemped to take Reagan's life. He fired 5-6 shots at the president from the crowd. Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity and confined to a mental institution. -

First discovered in Gay American men. The disease spread rapidly throughout the Gay community and eventually made it's way to to other sexually preferences. Many believe that HIV/AIDs was created by the U.S government in order to get rid of the Gay community. -
