    CGC examination became a requirement to become a public guardianship

    The NGA Standards of Practice for Guardians were first adopted by the NGA board of directors
    and ratified by the membership in 2000.
  • American Bar Association

    Classes, web seminars, conferences and educational resources for public guardianship were established by the American Bar Association.
  • Today

    Public and Private guardianship is still widely used. The goal today is to foster as much independence as possible for Individuals in need of guardianship.
