Battle of Fort Sumter SC
This is the first engagment that this volunteer brigade was involved in. They met up with ten other companies in Charlestown to form Cl. Maey Gregg's 1st Regiment. -

Antietam Battle
Also known as Sharpsburg, this batlle took place in Maryland. At dawn on the 17th there was an assult of Lee's left flank that made this day the bloodiest in American history. Overall there was 23,100 casualties. In the end there only victory was the Union's stragic attacks, but no clear victory as both sides wothdrew. Gregg's Brigarde sustained 4 deaths and 30 casualities. -

Fredricksburg battle
This battle took place in Fredricksburg, VA. In tis battle the union suffered more than twice the amount of casualities than the Confederates. The day with the biggest bloodshed was on th 13th. Gregg's Birgade lost 73 men during this engaagment. -

Chancellorsville Battle
This battle took place in Spotsylvania County, Virginia near the village of Chancellorsville. On May 1st Jackson took 30,000 troops to advance on the Union and expose thier flank. They were successful with this attack on May 2, but at the expense of Jackson's life. It was a close victory by the Confederates in the end with only 5,000 less casualties than the Union. Gregg's Brigade suffered 104 casualties. -

Battle of Gettysburg
This battle in fact took place in Gettsyburg, PA. This battle took place over a large area with many "little" battles within it. Such encounters were at Cemetary Hill, Devil's Den, Little Round Top, Peach Orachard, Culp's Hill, and the Wheatfield. The Conferates got the upper hand on the first two days for the most part, but by the third the Union regained ground. Ultimatly Lee had failed at his second attempt in the North. Gregg's Brigade personally lost 34% of his orginal 328 soliders.
