    The Persian Wars

    The Persian Wars were a series of battles where the Persian Empire tries to conquer the unified Greece city-states. The Greeks won 2 out of 3 battles to secure the victory. The Greeks won The Battle of Salamis and The Battle of Marathon while the Persian Empire won The Battle of Thermopylae. The significance of the Persian War was that the Greeks were safe from the Persians and that the Greeks became very wealthy and powerful. The Greeks became the leaders of the Dalian league.

    Golden Age

    The Golden Age was a time period when the Athens were very wealthy and powerful. The Athens economic prosperity led to the Golden Age of culture. Pericles,the leader of the Athens during the Golden Age,created the the strongest navy and also increased Democracy. During this period, the Athens had exceeded in art and theater. The Athens created 3 types of Greek columns. The Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. The art portrayed beauty and harmony.The Greeks also created tragedy and comedy plays.

    Peloponnesian War

    The Peloponnesian War was fought between the Delian League against the Peloponnesian League. This was a war fought for 27 years. Though the Delian league was considered more powerful, the outcome was that the Peloponnesian League had won. The war was fought in Ancient Greece. The significance

    Alexander The Great came into power

    Alexander The Great came into power after his father passed away on 336 BCE,he was only 20 years old ! Alexander was well educated and was well-trained as a military officer. He was tutored by the philosopher Aristotle. Alexander spread Greece culture thoughts, religion, and language from Greece throughout Egypt, Asia, and Mesopotamia to India.He died at age 33 from malaria.
