Required states to clean and improve the quality of their rivers. Authorized Federal Water Pollution Control Administration to take control in areas that failed to do so. -
Elementary and Secondary Education Act
Provided schools with money for things like books and other special materials needed for education. Helped give financial support to students that needed it. Updated version of this act is still around today, and funds schools that need it. -
Truth in Packaging Act
Set standards for labeling economic and consumer goods. Required labels to state what is inside a product and where it was made. This is still around today.
