Galileo Galilei
Galileo Galilei lived from 1564-1642 in Florence, Italy. He invented the thermometer in 1593. The thermometer is way different than our's is today. His thermometer was just water in a glass tub and if it rose or went down when the temperature was changing. It was important because they could learn what time the year was hot or cold. -
Zacharias Janssen
Zacharias Janssen invented the first compound microscope in 1595. It helps you see very small object's in a bigger form. Jassen was from Hague, Netherlands. Jassen was born in 1580 and died 1638. -
Hans Lippershey
Hans Lippershey invented the refracting telescope. This invention is important because small images will become bigger and clear. -
Christian Huygens
Christian Huygens 1629-1695 was from Netherlands. He invented a way to polish glass telescope lenses so you could see further away. It was important that he found a way to make sure telescope lenses were clean and accurate. -
Isaac Newton
Isaac Newton lived from 1643-1727 in the United Kingdom. Newton wrote about the THREE LAWS OF MOTION and many recall it to be Newton's Laws. Newton wrote the Three Laws of Motion in 1667. -
Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin invented the bifocal glasses. He got tired of swicthing glasses so he made the bifocal glasses. The importance of the bifocal glasses are that you don't have to keep up with two pairs of glasses, just one pair of glasses. -
Bartolomeo Cristofori
Bartolomeo Cristofori created the piano in Italy. The piano is important because it plays a big part in music and many great musician's played the piano. -
Bejamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin was born in 1706 and died in 1790. He invented the Franklin Stove in 1742. The stove would put more heat out plus it didn't have has much smoke either.
