When the Romans conquested almost all of the England, it became the country named Britannia. In peroid of 500 years Romans Empire fell. -
NORMANS
In 1066 England was conquered by Normans. Wales came under Anglo-Norman control in 1282 and was official annexed to England in 16th century. -
FIRST KING
The first king was King James. People did not choose him, but he chose himself for a king of Great Brittaine, France and Ireland. -
ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND
With years Scotland became independent of England. Scotland was independent from England till 1707, when both parlaments agreed with agreement about Union. This agreement created one kingdom of two kingdoms. They named it Great Britain.
