The Apollo 11 mission was the first man-made mission, with three crew members aboard. The three men aboard where Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. When the spacecraft landed Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. During the mission Neil Armstrong said a quote that he is famous for "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind".

Some of the most breathtaking moments where when the U.S. amateur ice hockey players defeated the vaunted Soviet Union professional all-star team. Another thrilling moment was when Eric Heiden, won all five speed skating medals from the sprint at 500 meters to the marathon 10,000 meter event.
