The news
They learned that the British courier, was to pass that night along there road. -
The Plan
The two ladies made a plan to hold up the British courier on his way to the fourt to take his dispatches and send them to the American camp. -
The discuses
The two girls crabbed their husband's clothes and carried their rifles a short way down the road where the courier would pass. -
Hiding
They hide in bushes in till dusk. When the courier and his two escorts appered on horses the two girls jumped out and pointed there rifles at the three men. -
Two girls as men
The Girls dressed in their husbands clothes andn a deep dark voice they told three enemies carrying messages to halt and rasie their hands. The three men also had rifles with them and were taken by surprise that they right away surrendered.
