Magna Carta
Magna Carta means in latin "Great Charter". It was one of the most important document of Medieval England. -
Petition of Rights
Established by King Charlies 1. It stated four principles: no taxes would be given without Parliament consent; no imprisonment without a shown cause; soldiers cannot be put in private houses; and martial law cannot be used in times of peace. -
English Bill of Rights
Was passed by Parliament. It was a restatment of the Declaration of rights. -
Albany Plan of Union
Under this plan each colonial legislature would elect delegates to an American continental assembly presided over by a royal governor. It was drafted by Benjamin Franklin. -
Boston Massacre
British army soldiers killed 5 colonists. It was the tension between the American troops and the Royal troops. -
Boston Tea Party
The boston tea party occured because people were tired of paying high taxes. So people dumped tea in the boston harbor. -

Was the first constitution of the United States. With this article most states had full power over ther states. -
Shays Rebellion
It was a army uprising. It was named after Daniel Shay who was a veteran of the American Revolutionary War. -
Virginia Plan
Was drafted by James Madison. Proposed a strong central government composed of 3 branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. -
Philadelphia Convention
Was convention of delegates because of trouble between existing confederate states. George Washington was elected president of the convention. -
New Jersey Plan
Was a counterproposal to the Virgina Plan made by William Patterson.Was a reshaping of the Articles of Confederation.
