1n 1851 there were only nine gold rush towns. Bendigo, Mt Alexander, Clunes, Ballarat, Buninyong and Anderson’s creek were the only in Victoria (VIC). Sofala, Bathurst and Ophir were first in New South Wales (NSW). -
1852
In 1852 Eaglehawk and Beechworth were added to the VIC list and Braidwood was added to the NSW list but south Australia(SA) found a gold town in Onkaparinga. -
1853
In 1853 only one gold town was found in VIC called Maldon and again in 1854 a place called Ararat. -
1857
Again in 1857 VIC Buckland River was found. -
1858
In 1858 Canoona in Queensland (QLD) was founded and started a list for QLD. -
1860
In 1860 Lambing Flat and Kiandra was found in NSW. -
1863
In 1863 Stringers Creek was found in VIC. -
1867
1867, Gympie was found in QLD. -
1870
1870, Gulgong was found in NSW. -
1871
In 1871 Charter Towers in QLD and Darwin in Northern Territory(NT) which started there list and ended it. -
1872
1872, there were a lot that came about then, there was Palmer River in QLD, Hill End in NSW and Tasmania discovered there one and only gold town called Beaconsfield. -
1877
In 1877 NSW found Tilba Tilba. -
1879
In 1879 NSW found Temora which ended there list of gold towns. -
1880
In 1880 Mt Morgan was discovered in QLD. -
1885
Western Australia(WA) found there first gold town in 1885 called Kimberley. -
1892
1892 WA found there second gold town called Coolgardie. -
1893
1893 was a big year for WA because they found 2 gold towns called Kalgoorlie and Larkinville
