    Employees were forced to work long hours without breaks. The workplace would be unsanitary and employees could get easily injured
  • Government Corruption

    Government Corruption
    Political Bosses blackmailed and bribed senates. Political machines were a big problem during these times. Federal government did nothing to limit the corruption
