The DAP became the NSDAP (the National Socialist German Workers's Party)
Hitler also introduced the swastika as the party's emblem and members began to use the raised arm salute. -
The Sturmabteilung created
Also know as the SA, brownshirts and storm troopers. The SA were the private army of the NSDAP; they were recruited from ex-soldiers demobilised from the army, the unemployed and students. Many came from the Freikorps. -

Trusted members of the SA were selected to form Hitler's own bodyguard known as the Shock Troop. -

At the Burgerbrau Keller - the scene of the Munich Putsch. 4000 people came, a further 1000 had to be turned away. -

The Protection Squad or SS were a new party security group. -
