    In this speech Johann Gustav Droysen talks about how Prussia is superior to Austria. He describes Prussia as powerful and determined. On the other end, he describes Austria lacks in power and how it also lacks the determination.
  • King of Prussia: Proclamation

    In this proclamation Friedrich Wilhelm IV talks about the two reasons why he declined the offer to be apart of the German National Assembly. His first reason is that the Assembly doesn't have the right, and his second reason is that he would have to agree with the constitution to which he didn't like.
  • Letter to Minister von Manteuffel

    In this letter, Otto von Bismarck talks about how a war will eventually have to happen between Austria and Prussia. He says the Germany isn't big enough for the both of them, and that at some point in time a battle will have to be fought.
  • Austrian and Prussian War

    This war was not out of hatred or because land was wanted by the two. The war was fought in order to end the establishment of power. Prussia ended up being victorious in this war giving them the power.
  • Otto von Bismarck

    Otto von Bismarck talk about why they left Austria as it was and didn't hurt them to greatly. His reason for it was because he didn't want them to ally with France or for them to seek revenge.
  • The Imperial Proclamation

    This proclamation talks about how the German Princes and cities wanted King Wilhelm to assume the crown of Emperor. Their only requirement was that he accepted the constitution they had in place. He would also have to keep the peace and protect the independence of Germany.
