The Paleo Indians were developed from Asian migration across the Bering Strait Landbridge. They were nomadic, constantly following their food. They hunted large game like, mammoths, sloths, bison, and sabor tooth cats. Because of hunting large game, they had to use curved spear heads know as clovis points. -

Hernando de Soto came to Georgia in search of treasure. He did not find any gold but, he went to war with the native americans. The natives did not have advanced weapons therefore they lost. Hernando de Soto later dies along the Mississippi River. -

In 1731 20,000 protestants were expelled from the country Salzburg, now known as Austria. This act of religious intolerance occured when Archbishop Leopold von Firman issued his Edict of Expulsion. King Goerge II gave an invitation to the exilles to selltle in Georgia. The invitation begins the identity of the Georgia Salzburgers. -

The Charter of 1732 was granted on April 21, 1732. Olgethorpe beleived that the poor could start a new life in the new colony. He beleived that it would also be a place for some people to start a new life. Oglethorpe stated that no cathlics would not be aloud in Georgia. -
