La Sylphide
the romantic ballet "La Sylphide" grew in popularity and many variations were created. its popularity reached its peak by 1845 when Jules Perrot had used the choreographic tool of "diverttissment" to enhances the dancing in the ballet. -
Russian ballet
Russian ballet was founded in 1740's but become popular in the late 1800's. after 1850, russian ballet flourished created jobs, stature, and security for me and women. the academy for ballet was called the "Imperial Ballet" and was treated witht the same respect as the military. -
decline of romantic ballet
romantic ballet never completeled ended. however it started to decline by the late 1800's. Arthur Saint leon's 1870 ballet Coppelia is considered to be the last work of the Romantic Ballet. -
