The Earth went through many important changes, the melting of huge glaciars and ice caps -
Devonian Period 419.2 MYA
Many fossils from the Devonian period show that this was the time where plant life flurished and new species were comming to life. -
Carboniferous Period _359.2 to 299-MYA
Tropical humid climate. Still lots of plant life and swamps -
Permian Period 299 to 251-MYA
Lead to the "Greatest extiontion in history, killed off most if not all marine life. Although some survived. Lead To "The age of the Dinosaurs. -
Mesozoic Era, Triassic Period 250 to 200 -MYA
Named because of the three layers of earth during this period, the triassic period was flurishing with dinosaur life and both the end and the beginning of this period are marked by mayjor extinctions. the last of which caused the dinosaurs to widen their species because of the climate change they were able to stay alive and flurish towards the end of this period. -
Jurassic Period 201.3-MYA
Land masses were shifteing and changing. Dinosaurs and the earliest lizzards and reptiles were living and dominating. -
Cretaceous Period 145-MYA
New types of dinosaurs -some of which being bird/dinosaur species- many appearing. Breaking apart of the super continent Pangea. Much like the Jurassic period. -
Cenozoic Era- Tertiary Period 65-MYA
Began with the extinction of dinosaurs, rise of mamals and plant life. Start of the latest Ice Age. Lots of global changes and temperature/climate decreeses. -
Quaternary Period 2.6-MYA
Carving and molding of land with pulse of the waxing and wanning of glaciers. Mamals get fur and die while the earliest hummans evolve.
