Genghis Khan birth

In early life his name was Temujin, later Genghis Khan, was born around 1162 near the border between modern Mongolia and Siberia. Legend holds that he came into the world clutching a blood clot in his right hand. His mother had been kidnapped by his father and forced into marriage.become he is one of the most influential leaders of the Mongolian Empire.

Temujin married Borte

At the age of 16 Temujin married Borte Ujin She was the first of many wives.he ,have four sons and an unknown number of daughters

Temujin kills his half brother.

Aug 30, 1180

Bekhter, an older half brother torments Temujin and a younger brother by stealing the prize each time the younger boys fish or hunt. Enraged, Temujin and his brother stalk Bekhter and slay him with an arrow, the Mongol weapon of choice.

Temujin emerges as local strongman.

Oct 23, 1200

Temujin himself reportedly said, “My strength was fortified by Heaven and Earth.” The Mongols and several neighboring tribes have hailed him as their khan, or leader.

Demise of the Khwarizm Dynasty

Khan personally planned 3 pronged attacks against the dynasty. His army of 200,000 mongolians captured city after city. Eventually the captured Shah Muhammed and his son and the dynasty was brought to an end.
