Galileo is born in Pisa to his paents Vincenzo Galilei and Guilia Ammannati. Vincenzo, We dont know alot about his siblings all we know is he was the oldest of 6 and had at least 2 sisters. we know his sisters names because he named his two daughters about them. this is not an actual picture of galileo since their aren't any survivning from when he was a child. -

creates first thermometer
Galileo's thermometer was not a standard thermometer but a tube filled with water and bulbs of difrent densities. as it heated the water expanded and the less dense bubbles would rise. The King James Bible is one of the most widley used bibles and it was started in 1604 and wasn't finished until 1611. william janszoon was in charge of the dutch ship which was blown off course and ended up in australia. There he was attacked by aborigines and promptly abandonned expidition of the country. Jamestown was the first sucsessful british settlement in North America. They had origionally tried to settle at Roanoke but failed and the tribe disapeared. this colony though was a sucsess and was named after King James who funded their trip. (fsmitha.com) -

galileo's telescope was based on one by another european whose telescope magnified aproximately 3 times normal size. Galileos first telescope magnified about 6 times normal size. A few topics covered in this book are, the craters of the moon, the fact the Milky Way is actually made out of stars, Jupiters moons, observations of Saturns rings, and the phases of Venus. the title of this book means starry messannger. This is because Galileo firmly believed in heliocentrism and atemped to sway others from the churches point of view. At the time the church believed that the sun went around the earth. so Galileo's ideas conflicted with the churches ideas they stopped his writings. The exact date this decree went out is unknown. The Roman Catholic Church convicted Galileo of hersey for believing in heliocentism and trying to sway others from the churches beliefs. discovers the moon consistantly wobbles
The wobbles in the moon were discovered while Galileo was under house arrest and was nearly blind. This wobble is due to the moons eliptical orbit and as the moon gets closer to the planet the more gravity affects the moon. Galileo dies
Galileo died at the age of 77 at his house in Arcetri Italy. He was under house arrest for his belief in heliocentrism or that all the planets go around the sun. He would be convicted of hersay until 1992 when pope John Paul the II made a public apology.
