Purpose of act- could not use foreign ships (even if offered for cheaper rates) It prevented the colonists from sending certian products; sugar,tobacco, and tea. The outside area that made up Englands empire.
Outcome of act- the colonist would smuggle or trade illiegally. -

Purpose of act-set the Appalation Mountians as a westward boundary
