Increased taxes on imports such as tea, glass, paper, lead, and paint for colonists. -
The Boston Massacre
As a result of the Townshend Act, the colonists riot and the soldiers kill five people.

The Boston Tea Party
Caused by Tea Act of 1773, which highly taxed tea in the colonies. The colonists responded by dumping hundreds of barrels of tea into the Boston Harbor. -
The Intolerable/Coercive Acts
1) Boston Port Bill - no loading/unloading ships in Boston until damage from Boston Tea Party is paid for.
2) No assembly or group.
3) All colonists must quarter soldiers. -
