The point of the Townshend Act was to pay the salaries of the colonial judges and governors. The colonists protested this. -
The Tea Act
The point of the Tea Act was to bail out the East India Company which played a huge role in Britian’s economy. The colonists resisted this which resulted in the infamous Boston Tea Party. -
The Revolutionary War
The point of the Revolutionary War was to overthrow British rule to become the United States. The colonists seemed to be happy about this because they had more opportunities for trade and the ridiculous taxes came to a halt.
