French Revolution Timeline

  • The beginning of the French Revolution

France was very poor because they had two major military adventures. One being the American Revolution. The people were every unhappy with the king because they were living a horrible life. I chose this event because the people being angry and frightened is what caused the French Revolution.
  • The Enlightement

The Enlightenment was caused by the Philosophers. The french started to emphasize reason and individualism rather than tradition. This made the people more and more angry towards there prince and their rights.
I chose to include the Enlightenment because it caused many fights and changes in the time of the French Revolution.
  • The National Assembly of France

Everybody who didn't win the meeting were so upset and mad that they decided that they would be called The National Assembly of France. The king wasn't happy about that because he wanted to keep all of the money and power. The king was so upset about The National Assembly that he didn't let them use the Assemble.
I think this action is important because it shows how the King preferred to have money and let his people suffer instead of help them.
  • The Three Estates of France

The Three Estates of France decided to held a meeting about the Enlightenment. The Three Estates of France were the three major social classes of France. The first estate was clergy, the second was nobility and the third estate was everybody else.
I chose to include this in my timeline because the meeting was very important to all of the french people because they knew that they had a very good chance of winning and changing their rights.
  • The Three Estates of France meeting results

The Nobility and Clergy won the meeting between The Three Estates of France so everybody else was very upset and disappointed. They had no hope of getting a better lifestyle in the future.
I decided to add this action to the French Revolution timeline because i think that it is very important to know who won the meeting and what might happen to the french people.
  • Tennis Court

Since the King did not let The National Assembly of France use the Assemble, they decided to have their assemble at a indoor tennis court. The eventually created a Tennis Court Oath.
I think that this is important because it shows how the people would still find a way to make it happen and how desperately they wanted better rights.
  • Troops

The French start noticing that troops start converging on Paris. The French were poor and didn't have weapons so they didn't know what to do.
I chose to include this action in my timeline because i think that it is important to know because it is the start of when the French Revolution gets bloodier and bloodier.
  • Bastille

All of the French people decided to go to the Bastille because that was the only place where they had weapons and were they held prisoners. They were finally able to protect themselves from any threat or troops.
I chose to include this in my timeline because it was a very happy and revealing moment for the french because they had something to fight and protect themselves with.
  • Rights

After the Bastille, the National Assembly finally declared their deceleration of the rights of man of the citizen. The people were getting angrier and angrier.
I believe that this is important because the National Assembly declaring their deceleration of the rights of man of the citizen is what caused the second part of the French Revolution.
