Meeting of Estates General
This event was the first time they had called a meeting of the Estates General in 175 years. The Estates General was an assembly of representing the French Estates. The reason why they called the meetin was because Louis XVI wanted help with government financial problems. -
Storming of the Bastille
The Storming of the Bastille was an event in which the French people came and hand by hand took apart the Bastille and took the gun powder stored there. The Bastille was a symbol of Royal Authority in government and the strming was looked upon as a symbol of the governments "breakdown" and "failure". -
Declaration of the Rights of Man
An article was put forward that declared the natural rights of man. This would be a common showing of a man's day-to-day rights throughout society. -
Women March on Versailles
One of the earliest and most significant events of the French Revolution. The market women and their allies grew into a mob and they ravaged the city armory for weapons and went to Versailles. -
King Louis XVI executed
King Louis XVI was unfit to rule ever since he began. Due to all of his failures/ decisions, the economy decreased and France became in debt. Since he didn't want to rule anymore, he tried to flee the country and was tried for treason. He was proven guitly and was killed on the Guillotine. -
Beginning of the Reign of Terror
It was started as a resolution of foreign wars at the time. It is also centered on the Commitee of Public Safety. -
British defeated at Toulon
The Supression was very bloody. It is estimated that between 700 and 800 prisoners were shot or slain by bayonet on Toulon's Champ de Mars. -
Maximilien Robespierre executed
Maximilien Robespierre was arrested and to be executed due to the point where people finally realized that it would be safer to oppose him and the National Convention sent for his execution. -
Creation of the Directory
The Directory was the French government during the French Revolution. Administered by a collective leadership of five directors. -
Napoleon Crowns Himself Emperor
Has been said to mark "the instantiation of modern empire", representing a "transparently masterminded piece of modern propaganda". -
Napoleon Crowned King of Italy
This event would turn the Republic of Italy into the Kingdom of Italy. This made Napoleon take on the titles, 'Emperor of France' and 'King of Italy’. -

The goal of the Congress was to provide a long-term peace plan for Europe. They would do this by settling issues that had been brought up by the French revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. -
Battle of Waterloo / Napoleon’s 2nd Abdication and Exile
It was in favour of his son, Napoleon II. Instead of staying in the field with his army, he went bck to France after the Battle of Waterloo for political support.
