  • Beginning of the French Revolutio n

    This year marks the beginning of the French Revolution. The revolution itself does not start to pick up till spring. The revolution is full of bloodshed and war.
  • France's role in the American Revolution

    France was a big factor in the American revolution. Although France was very poor at the time they still sent troops, weapons, and other supplies to aid in the revolution. They did this mainly to get back at Great Britian.
  • Convocation of the Estates General

    This event was when the King brought representatives of the Clergy, Nobility, and Peasants. While the lowest class makes up 98% of the population they have the least amount of say in any decisions.
  • National Assembly of France

    This is when the revolution starts to kick up. The 98% of the population is finally standing up for what they deserve and how unfair the ruling is.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    The tennis court oath is when Louis XVI locked out the peasant representatives so they break into an indoor tennis court and declare that France will have a constitution even if it has to be by force.
  • Troops Converge on Paris

    Outside troops are closing in on Paris and people are now starting to get paranoid about what will happen in France next.
  • No More Financial Advisor

    Louis XVI fired his financial advisor for explaining why he should start working with the people of France for his greater good.
  • Bastille was Stormed

    The French people rallied up and decided to storm the Bastille for weapons and anything they can get their hands on to take down the monarchy.
  • Bastille Day

    Bastille day is a national holiday in France commemorating the storming of the Bastille.
  • France Declaration of Independance

    This day was when the people of France declared the rights of men and the citizens.
