    The people in the 3rd estate were protesting against the government. they made a decision to not leave the tennis court until they got a new constitution. They eventually won and agreed to sign the document.

    the Declaration of the Rights of Man was a constitution written giving individual rights to people. They were torn between making the constitution small or really detailed. After days of arguing, they decided to write 17 articles.

    This decision took away labels like "queen" and "king". People were no longer called these names. Also citizens could only refer to each other by their names.

    This deceleration was written by Leopold II and king Frederick William II. They wrote this in their efforts to restore the monarchy in France. King Louis XVI was only given a constitutional monarch during the revolution.

    On April 20th, 1792, the French government declared war on Austria. The people thought that a war would help spread their beliefs and unify the country. They had a desire to spread the ideas of the Revolution it all of Europe.

    Dr Joseph-Ignace Guilliotin came up with this new idea of public execution. He complained that normal swords would sometimes break and not slice through. He also said that hanging and burning at the stake was inhumane and it needed an update. so whats better than being hung? Getting publicly be-headed!!

    This war was lost by France to the German legions. This was an important battle for the Germans because it confirmed a united rise in Germany. It also made France decline in power.

    Louis XVI executed
    One day after being convicted guilty of conspiracy with foreign powers, King Louis XVI was executed. He was one of the biggest reasons the Revolution started. He had debt left behind from his dad so he called the States General. The following events led to the Revolution so he was killed for it.
