Estates-General Assembly
The Estates-General assembly was held in Versailles because the king wanted to find a solution to the economic crisis going on in the country. Formation of the National Assembly
Because they weren’t listened to in the Estates-General assembly, the representatives of the third estate joined together and formed the National Assembly, taking King Louis XVI’s absolute monarchy away and starting a representative form of government. Fall of the Bastille
A mob stormed the Bastille, a Paris prison, killed the guards and looked for guns and gunpowder. The Imprisonment of The Royal Family

Raiding of The Prisons

Creation of the National Convention
A governing body called the National Convention took office and “replaced” the legislative assembly.
