This act started the idea of change within the french kingdom, and soon this form of asking became demanding, and demanding became taking.

This document was written in order to persuade the 3rd estate to want to have a place in the government. The main argument presented in the document is that the 3rd estate is everything in France yet they have no governmental power.

During this event, large groups of hungry women got together and marched towards the kings palace in Versailles in hopes of raiding the king's grain treasury. During this march the women were able to capture the king and force him to go to paris. (image 3)

On this day king Louis VII accepted the new French constitution, however the king did not agree with these new rules he just wanted to stay in power. In truth the king did not give up much of his power with signing this document because he had a veto power in the government anyway. (image 4)

On this day king Louis XVII was executed on charges of treason. the vote to kill him won by 1 vote.

This document introduced many new laws that accused profiteers in the countryside of hoarding or monopolizing grain in order to raise the price of bread. Some of these laws were very strict: to not be convicted one must offer the said commodities or merchandise for sale, in small lots and to all comers, three days, at the latest, after his declaration. these laws made the French people more cautious. On this day Marie-Antoinette was tried and executed for being accused of treason and cooperating with the Austrians who were at war with france at the time. The death of Marie-Antoinette ment that france had no more ties with Austria. (image 6)

During this event Robespierre, the Committee of Public Safety and Jacobin Club executed all the popular leaders on charges of petty crimes and being accused of being loyalists. (image 7)

After Robespierre killed all of the other popular leaders, he became the dictator. He was liked by the Jacobins and was not stopped by anybody until the end of the reign of terror. (image 8)

On this day Napoleon Bonaparte was told by the council of elders to present himself in front of the council of 500 where he was attacked. this started a coup which led to Napoleon forming a new kind of government with 3 Consuls. Napoleon Bonaparte being the 1st and most powerful along with Sieyés and Ducos being the other 2 Consuls. While there were choices to be made and the 3 Consuls did vote Napoleon had undoubtedly the most power.

Napoleon returned to France after a battle in Egypt, upon his return Napoleon finds that france is not doing too well with the new government of the elder consuls. the council asks Napoleon for his support however he refuses, but does become responsible for giving out force in order to quiet down a rebellion. After a few years of his own nations turning on him, eventually Napoleon gave up the french throne in 1814 and was exiled to an island called Elba. After escaping from Elba Napoleon went back to France and attempted to take back france from Louis XVIII. the battle took place in Belgium with the British and Prussians on one side and Napoleon's army on the other. in the end Napoleon lost the battle and was exiled again to another island where he perished
