    King Louis the XVI calls forth the Estates General for the first time in a long time. He calls for to the Estate Generals for Clergy, Nobility, Bourgeoisie and peasants the three estates. King Louis does this to address the financial crisis.

    The Third Estate was locked out of their meeting place the Versailles so they went to the Tennis Court. They pledged that they wouldn't leave until they had a new constitution or a new government. Finally, the King accepted it and told First and Second Estates to be part of the Tennis Court Oath.
