    This action motioned the beginning of the French Revolution. It was a decade of terror with King Louis XVI being overthrown. A countless amount of people were executed including the king and his wife. Revolutionaries and the lower class disassembled the Bastille, which was a royal stronghold that symbolized the monarchs.

    The Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen
    The National Assembly begins to analyze on how to protect the rights of the Nation. They formed a committee to plan a bill of rights and it was passed leading to the declaration of the rights of man and citizen. It set goals and standards for national governments, and political clubs and movements. these standards were ignored during the phases of the revolution.

    France declares war
    European monarchs noticed King Louis XVI was overthrown and worried that fervor would spread. Reactionaries and the monarchy desired war, and believed that having a new government would make it easy to defeat. They thought that war would unify the country, so they had the genuine desire to spread the ideas of the Revolution around Europe. On April 20th 1792 the Legislative Assembly declared war on Austria, although Frances army played poorly at first, they became more successful later on.

    The Reign of terror is just a time of violence and brutal torture during the French Revolution. A new innovation called the guillotine was put to work. There were many public executions, used as entertainment. The device was designed to fight enemies for the revolution, but most people executed were ordinary people An innumerable amount of people were executed for the simplest reasoning.

    The directory was a french revolutionary government, based from the Constitution year III. The directory had two chambers one for proposing and one for approving legislation. The directory became quickly corrupted and hardly any was done to improve the Nation, leading the fail of the directory.
  • Napoleonic Control

    Napoleonic Control
    Napoleon has success in invading the British. Napoleon was inferior to take down The Directory. He overthrows the directory causing him to establish The French Consulate as he is the new leader of France. On December 23rd a new constitution is proclaimed, with Napoleon having full executive powers leading him to soon be the Emperor of France. Napoleon becoming leader of France leads to the end of the Revolution.
