    97% Percent of France was part of the 3 groups. 1st group included church people. 2nn are government officials, rich nobles and enlightenment people the last but not least the 3rd group were the bourgeoisie or the middle class these were urban workers. 3 the largest group of all the peasants with more than 80% being peasants
  • Economic Problems

    France's economy was in decline at an alarming rate, especially the merchants, factory owners and people of the 3rd state. Another problem was because of the king and his wife Marie Antoinette
  • Estates-General an assembly meeting

    Representatives off all 3 groups were called to improve a tax on the nobles.
  • The National assembly

    Established laws and reforms in the name of the French people. This act was the first act of the French Revolution started by the 3rd estate.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Finding themselves in the Versailles palace the 576 deputies signed the oath not to separate and to reassemble wherever circumstances require until the constitution of the kingdom is established".
  • The Storming of Bastille

    Rumors flew that the king was going to use military power to eliminate the National Assembly so the people use force to attack the Bastille prison and took control of is and nowadays shows a symbolic act of revolution and today stands as a holiday for french people
  • Great Fear

    France became a war zone, peasants hade pitchforks and were armed, they broke into nobles' houses and destroyed rents and important paperwork. Fear had risen upon France.
  • Women's March on Versailles

    Gave people a chance of hope and bravery, courage and determination for the french people and have the king something to worry about.
