causes of the french revolution
There were many causes of the french revolution. Heres a few,
france was bankrupted,they had bad leadership an bad harvest, some didnt like the estate system an the enlightrnment made them see a different veiw of how they could be governed.

The National Assembly is created
The third estate was mad because they were outvoted, so they stormed out an made there own parliamentcalled "the national assembly".Which ended up representing the french people.

Tennis Court Oath
The Oath was a pledge signed by members from the Third Estate who were locked out of a meeting of the Estates-General. They decideed to meet at a nearby tennis court.The idea was to create a document with rights the french people should have.The oath was that they would keep meeting until the document (D.R.M.) was complete.

King louis responds
As the National Assembly continued to work on the D.R.M., the kind wasnt very happy.As a result king louis had his army surround the city of paris.The city got scared so they quickly formed local militia's.

The revolution begins
The city of paris is attacked. The people steal the gunpowder at bastille. So the storming of bastille is the official start to the revolution.

Creation of the D.R.M
The D.R.M was created because the people didnt like what the king was doing so they created this an captured the king an eventually made him sign it. The D.R.M is that the king signs it an gives a little of his power away. The people keep coming up with more though until he eventually loses all his power.

The Bread March
The bread march is when thousans of women marched 12 miles from paris to versailles. They were armed with brooksticks, lances, pitchforks,swords,pistols and muskets.They were starving so they wanted food and they wanted king louis 16 to sign the D.R.M.

The Royal Escape
The royal family was under house arrest.The National Assembly kept forcing king louis 16 to sign law after law, that took more an more power from the king.One night he got into the carriage with his family and tried to flea to austria where maries parents are.They made it right to the border an were spotted an captured an took back to paris

Death of King Louis 16
king Louis XVI's secret dealings and counter-revolutionary intrigues was discovered, and he and his family were charged with treason. Louis was soon found guilty by the National Assembly and condemned to death. Louis XVI was guillotined in the Palace de la Revolution.

War breaks out
After king louis is beheaded, war was declared on fance by othewr countries. Like Austria,Prussia,Spain,Portugal,Britian and the Dutch Republic. -
Reign of Terror
A couple of days after the kings beheading,there was a war that started. The french ramy was losingan the austria/prussian army got within 30 miles or so of paris.As a result of that the new goverment (National Assembly) started killling anyonewho was against the revolution.40000 people inculding queen marie were sent to the guuillotine. -
Results of the reign of Terror
France had serveral goverments.Maximillen Robespirre is sent to the guillotine.France also won the war. A new person comes into control. -
Napolean takes over
During 1799-1815 Napolean rose to power during the revolution, he rose through the military ranks and eventually became a leader. He was a dictator but he gave people the rights they wanted. He leads his men to conquer most of europe.He left his family members in charge a areas so he didnt have to conrtol one giant thing he split it in parts amoung his family memebers.

Results of the French Revolution
It ended the year of 1799 dont know the exact date. The end was brought to the monarchy power in europe. The churhc lost most its power. The third estate gained alot while first an second lost everything.People have rights an freedom now. -
What happened to Napolean
I dont know the exact date. But he was eventually defeatedan exiled to an island of ST. Helna in the south atlantic ocean.One people got a taste of rights and freedoms they did not want to go back to a monarchy.
