The directory of france was a new five membered committee where the power was placed in the upper middle class to govern France, replacing the committee of Public Safety. The 2 house legislature and executive body was unable to solve financial and food shortage so they employed Napoleon to command the Armies, who later became leader of France which ended the Directory. -

Napoleon took power and completely changed the ways things were in France, ending the chaos from the reign of terror, financial crisis, food shortages, and many more. Although he was in control, Napoleon practiced enlightenment ideas by making the Napoleon code which is known to be his greatest achievement. -
Napoleon invades russia
Napoleon craved land and power so he decides to invade Russia. With his smart military skills he is winning tremendously and gaining most of Russias land. The war continued into Winter which was a bad idea and killed hundreds of thousands of Napoleons men. He ends up returning to Paris with no land from Russia and barely any soldiers left over. -

The Battle of Waterloo took place in Belgium and marked the final defeat of French military leader and emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, who conquered much of continental Europe in the early 19th century.
