Estates General Called
The meeting was called by Louis XVI to propose solutions to Frances financial problems. It ended when the Third Estate formed into a National Assembly that started the French Revolution. -
National Assembly was Formed
It lasted from 17th June to 9th July. It was formed by the third estates, estate-general. it represented the third estate and demanded that the king make changes to help the people have food to eat. -
Tennis Court Oath
Members of the third estate took the oath, they voted. "Not to separate and to resemble wherever necessary." Until the constitution of the kingdom is established. -
The Storming of the Bastille
Mob of Paris people stormed the Bastille, they were looking for arms & ammunition that they thought were stored there, also hoped to free prisoners to help with the uprising. -
Constitutional Monarchy Formed
It was the first written constitution of France, it turned the country into the Constitution Monarchy following the collapse of the absolute monarchy of the Ancient Regime. -
France Republic
France's first conventions first act was to create the french's first republic, after the revolution and the overthrow of monarchy France became a republic. -
King Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette, Beheaded
After the overthrow of the constitutional monarchy the two were condemned for treason, because Louis didn't address france's financial problem. -
Reign of Terror Begins
It begins when Robespierre declares terror or ¨The order of the day¨. This marks the beginning of almost two years of perceived enemies of the revolution. -
Reign of Terror Ends
Robespierre was arrested and executed as many of his fellow jacobins.
