    Estate-general meeting
To resolve France's financial crisis and societal issues, Louis XVI called for a meeting included all 3 estates. There, he proposed tax reforms → implement new taxes + changing the current system so that none would be exempted (ex: clergy, nobility) This decision was done through voting. Each estate has 1 vote. Seeing their privileges challenged, the 1st 2nd estates disagree with the King's proposal while the 3rd estate, despite accept the reformation, was outvoted.
