Louis XVI convenes Estates General
The King realized that there financial funds are bad and he had to summon the estates general and discus what they should do but they put the financial problems aside because of greater problems. They kicked out the third estates from the meeting and caused them to make the national assembly which ended the estates general. This is important to the Louis XVI convenes Estates General because the king tried to get rid of it but was not succesesful because of the public support. -
Tennis Court Oath
The Tennis Court Oath was when the french delegates agreed to make french a commitment to a national constitution and a representative government. -
Storming of the Bastille
The Storming of the Bastille was a big event because it was right after the delegates decided that they were switching there style of government. People started to storm the bastille for gun powder and guns and its saved the national assembly. -
Great Fear of 1789
This was the start of a wave of violence westside nobles started taking revenge after the news of the storming of the bastille and started to destroy crops. Peasants also started to storm house manors. After all the events that happened the national assembly stopped feudalism so no matter what class you were in you had an equal tax. -
Declaration of Rights of Man & Citizen
This is when the made a Declaration to all new rights for men and the add of liberalism. This declaration made new rights for men like freedom of speech this inspired the Declaration Of Independence. This marked the end of absolutist. They added many new rights to men that changed the french revolution. -
Women’s March on Versailles
The Women’s March on Versailles started over a high price on items such as bread so women got mad because they needed to feed there family and they could not afford the new cost so they marched. this ended the last bit of the kings independence and helped end absolutism. -
Flight to Varennes
The Flight to Varennes was a event when the king and queen tried to escape france but they eventually got caught before they could leave there corrupted systems. this was on a bridge when he got caught. -
National Convention formed
Creation of a national church turned out to be a big mistake They took more of the churches old land had to take an oath for new government this ended up dividing france more over religion. Turned out to be a big mistake. -
King Louis XVI executed
This is the day the french finally exucted the king after what he did to them also because he tried to run away. so he was killed by a falling axe -
Committee of Public Safety formed
Needed to be formed due to problems with the revolution. led/ made by Maximilien Robespierre. made nationilsm and help unite french people. -
Marie Antoinette executed
This was when they finally exacuted the queen for her part in destorying the french democracy and also trying to leave france and escape for good so she did not have to deal with all this stuff. -
