The group met in a tennis court close to the palace and made the tennis court oath, which was a vow that none of the members would leave until they established a constitution that limited the powers of the king.

    A bunch of people emigrated to the cities in France and they had a lack of authority and there were a lot of uprisings and riots and they were out of control. This August Decrees abolished all of the privileged rules of the nobles and all of that and also crushed the feudal system. This was mainly used for the peasants to look forward and act as a good community and also encourage toward peace and harmony.
