    Since France heavily invested in the American Revolution, and the spending's of King Louis XVI, France is at the brink of bankruptcy. The greedy King Louis XVI wanted more money and raised the taxes. However, he failed doing so, leading to riots and protest.

    A meeting for the third estate was held because they wanted more equality and representation. King Louis ignored their pleas and walked out of the meeting. Right then, the national assembly was formed.

    After King Louis was brought back to Paris, he was forced to agree to a new Government. This made the legislative assembly to be governed and allowed them to focus on revolutionary laws.

    King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette tried to flee Pairs to Varennes-en-Argonne. They did this because they thought if they'd stay in Pairs the people will kill them for their head. However, once they reached Varennes-en-Argonne they were arrested and returned to Paris immediately.

    After the legislative assembly was held, the national convention was created. This was the first French assembly that was republican and ignored the differences in classes/ estates. They abolished feudalism and published a new declaration called the "Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen".
