    Meeting of the Estates General
    King Louis the XVI called together the Estates General to try and solve the Monarchy's financial crisis. The third estate was being overruled, so they formed their own constitution in the Tennis-Court Oath

    An angry group of people revolt against the fort of Bastille. The rioters then took over the fort, and the revolt was used as a symbol to the people against the regime of the king.

    In October a large crowd of hungry civilians march in protest from Paris to the Palace of Versailles. These people were mostly made up of poor and hungry people.
