National Assembly Formed
Delegates of the Three Estates form the National Assembly, proclaiming end of absolute monarchy and start of representative democracy. Bastille Day

March to Versailles
Thousands of Parisian woman rioted over rising price of bread. The women marched to Versailles and demanded to the National Assembly to provide bread at a cheaper price. King Louis Flees

Fall of French Monarchy
Mob storms to Tullereis (palace where royal family was staying) and imprisons them. National Convention
A governing body called the National Convention took office. It removed the king from his office, dissolved the Legislative Assembly and called for the election of a new legislature. Execution King Louis

Reign of Terror
