    Peasants revolted violently and stormed the Bastille and killed the aristocrats inside and freed all the prisoners. Then tore it down brick by brick.

    The National Assembly approved the Declaration of the Rights of Man.

    Women march on Versailles and tell the king to go to Paris.

  • The Royal Family Attempts to Flee

    King Louis was sent to death for conspiracy against public liberty.

  • Robespierre is Executed

    Robespierre and his supporters are are put to death.

  • The Reign of Terror Begins

    A law was added permitting the arrest and trial of anyone suspected of opposing the Revolution

  • Marie-Antoinette is Executed

    Marie-Antoinette is convicted and executed.

  • French Revolution Ends

    There is no clear cut ending to the French Revolution. Which is the same for many event in history, but this is when Napoleon came into power in France.
