    France was on the verge of bankruptcy because of King Louis XVI. He made it harder on the clergy or the Lower and Middle class people of France. King Louis XVI would spend lots of money so he had to put a tax on the land.

    The Third Estate started to call themselves the National Assembly. They soon tried to go into somewhere to find that the door was locked and it was also guarded by soldiers. So they went and hid in a nearby indoor Tennis Court. They took an oath "not to separate, and to reassemble wherever circumstances require, until the constitution of the kingdom was established".

    The Bastille was a prison that got attacked by and angry mob of people. The mob didn't come to the prison for the prisoners instead they came for the huge ammunition storage. The prison was seized by the mob and the governor was also killed with his head put on display for everyone to see.

    Woman went on a march hoping to get bread because it cost way too much for them to buy it. Most of France was starving while the king kept eating feasts.

    This was the day that King Louis XVI was executed. The people of France made the Queen watch as he was beheaded.

    This was at the end of the French Revolution. Robespierre was a Lawyer. He was against the death penalty but played a big role in the execution of King Louis XVI. The people of France did not like him so they had him arrested. He was arrested at the same time as his brother. They were both killed the very next day.
