National Assembly Created
<a href='' >History notes</a>The National Assembly started with the making of the constitution. The three classes got locked out of their regular meeting room by the King. They then went to a nearby tennis court. -
Tennis Court Oath
<a href='' >History notes</a>They also made the "Tennis Court Oath." The oath was that the third estate would keep meeting until the D.R.M. was completed. This promise was kept. -
Attack of the Bastille
<a href='' >Loyaltybindsme.org</a>The city of Paris had their gun powder supply at a for/prison called the Bastille. Thousands of Parisians attacked the fort and successfully get the gun powder. The city of Paris was now in the hands of the revolutionaries. The storming of the Bastille is the official start of the French Revolution. -

<a href='' >History notes</a>The National Assembly was forced to meet at a nearby tennis court. The plan was to create a document with rights the french people should have. This document was called the Decleration of Rights of Man. (D.R.M.) -
The Bread March
<a href='' >History notes</a>Thousands of women from Paris marched 12 miles from Paris to the Versailles. They were armed with broomsticks, lances, pitchforks, swords, pistols, and muskets. They wanted food and for the king to sign the D.R.M. -
The Royal Escape
<a href='' >Loyaltybindsme.org</a>The revolution had been going on for about two years. The royal family was under house arrest in their palace in Paris. The National assmbly kept forcing Louis 16 to sign law after law that took more and more power away from the King. One night the King and is family got in their royal carriage using the cover of the darkness to Austria. They were at the boarder and spotted and sent back to Paris. -
King Louis 16 Accepts Constitution
<a href='' >Loyaltybindsme.org</a>Even after the attack of the Varennes, there was still a plot from exile for a military attack that would dispel the National Assembly before it could adopt the new constitution. ing Louis however, Feared war more than he did the prospect of becoming constitutional monarch. So he accepted the new constitution. -
A Declared War on France
<a href='' >History notes</a>As a result of King Louis 16 execution, Austria, Prussia, Spain, Portugal, Britian and the Dutch Republic declared war on France and invaded. If France lost this war, then the French Revolution would be crushed and France's absolute monarchy would be restored. -
Paris Mob attacks the Tuileries
<a href='' >History notes</a>A mob of nearly 30,000 French citizans stromed toward the Tuileries Palace to capture King Louis 16. The guards of the palace were killed as they were unable to take on the crowd. They fled into the Palace where they killed anyone in their way. -
National Convention
<a href='' >History notes</a>This was an assembly that governed France from September 20, 1792 to October 26, 1795, during the most critical period of the French Revolution. The National Convention was elected to provide a new constituion for the country after the overthrow of the monarchy. -
King Louis 16 Trial
<a href='' >Loyaltybindsme.org</a>The King was brought from thr Temple to stand before the National Convention and hear his indictment, an accusation of High Treason and Crime against th State. On January 15, the convention voted out the verdict which was an immediate desicion death. -
King Louis 16 is Executed
<a href='' >Loyaltybindsme.org</a>One day after being convicted of conspiracy with foreign powers and sentenced to death by thr French National Convention, King Louis 16 was executed by guillotine. He was walked steadfastly to the guillotine and was executed after being condemed to death by a narrow majority. -
Start of Reign of Terror
<a href='' >History notes</a>When the war started, the French army was losing and the Austrian/Prussian army got to within 30 miles or so of Paris. Great Britian put a naval backade on France's ports. As a result, the French government started killng anyone who was against the French Revolution. 40,000 people including Marie Antoinette will be sent to the gullitone. -
Marie Antoinette's Trial
<a href='' >Loyaltybindsme.org</a>Marie was given two days to prepare for her trial. The intervention of a radical journalist had pushed her case to the top. She was accused most notably of treason. She defended herself bravely and calmly. But the judgement was never in doubt, as the revolutionaries had always doubted her. After two days she was convicted and executed. -
Marie Antoinette's Execution
<a href='' >Loyaltybindsme.org</a>Marie was founded in her ce;; at the Conciergerie in Paris dressed in her mourning dress. laying down on her bed in flouds of tears. After her trial where she was founded guilty she returned to her cell and asked for pen and paper and wrote her finale letter to her sister. In the morning she was found in tears/ she was changed into a white dress and bonnet. They bounded her hands and cut her hair and was led out of the prison. She was taken away in a cart and was executed. -
Reign of Terror Ends (Robespierre is executed)
<a href='' >History notes</a>Robespierre stood in front of the committee awith a list in his hand of the people to be executed. They feared for their own safety and had prepared in advance the condemned Robespierre. He was executed and thus ended the reign of terror. -
Results of the French revolution

They caused widespread chaos amoung all levels of society, and perhaps more important in their minds.It generally ment the overthrow of the monarchy.
