The British lose at Fort Duquense
General Edward Braddock lead an army of about 1,450 men to Fort Duquense. The British general Is quickly under fire by French and Native Americans. The British surrender in just four hours of fighting and the French go back to Fort Duquense with a victory. -
William Pitt elected to Secratary of State
Williiam Pitt, the new Secratary of State for the British has decided that Britian needs to wins this war. So he decides to put all of the British resources into the war. -
The British take Fort Frontenac
The British Colonel John Bradstreet led about 3,000 men Ontario, Canada. This was a great win for the British because this cut off one of two communication lines in between two major places that the French owned (Montreal and Quebec). -
Battle of Quebec
The Battle of Quebec the most important battle in the war because this was the capitol of New France. This battle was called the turning point in war because it was so important to the outcome. The British won this battle but lost there commander James Wolf. This battle gave the British a lot of momentum throughout the war. -
The British Raise Flag in Detriot
The British have taken all of Canada and most of America the French are defenseless. The British raise there flag in Detroit. This is the "functional end of the war", but not until a treaty is signed. This was a day of triumph and joy for the British. -
The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was the treaty that ended The French and Indian War. The French give up all of there North American land and British takes the land east of the Mississippi River and most of Canada and Spain takes land west of the river. The British have won the war.
