21 year old George washington asks the french to move back
As tension grown in north america the British want to move into the Ohio river valley. They decide to send 21 year old George Washington to negotiate with the French. The French tell him the british cant move into the area and Washington is forced to retreat back to Virginia. The French captured and finished Fort Ducane
The British sent 40 men to the forks of the ohio to build a fort although before the fort is finished the french and indian troops attacked and took the fort. After the french took the fort they decided to finish and name the fort ft. Duquesne. Battle of Monogahela
British general William Braddock and 1,500 men march to attack fort Duquesne but are suprise attacked by only 900 French and Indian troops. The French and Indian troops use the geography to their advantage and surround the british troops. British seize Louisbourg
The British seizing Louisbourg was a crucial part in the French and Indian war because it opened up the route to Canada for the British. The capture of fort Louisbourg also ended the french colonial era in Atlantic Canada and led to the french loss of Quebec. The British take fort Niagara
The battle of fort Niagara which was part of a bigger plan to force the french out of the great lakes and ohio valley reigon. That plan was forged to make a western invasion of the french province of Canada possible. Battle of Quebec
The battle of Quebec was considered the turning point in the French and Indian war because the British captured the capital of New France.
