French and Indian War
The significance of the French and Indian War was to fight over the Ohio River Valley. This ended in The colonists winning and forcing the French out of Native America. -
Pontiac's War
A N.A. chief of a tribe had enough of the Colonists moving in and stealing their land, so he gathered his tribe and fought back. The Colonists won the battle, but it showed that the N.A. were not to be underestimated. -
Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was after Pontiac's War, and the war convinced the British that they would not settle past the Appalachian Mountains. This enraged many colonists and some crossed and settled anyway. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was between the British and the French. The British agreed with the French that the British would take all of the French land so there would be no more conflict. France was therefore given a few islands in the South Pacific. -

The Stamp Act was placed upon the colonists by the British taxing anything printed from the colonies -
Townshend Acts

The Boston Massacre
After all of the Acts placed upon the Colonists by the British the Colonists formed riots and attacked the British. The British shot back and 5 colonists were killed. This widened the gap between Colonists and British. -
Lexington and Concord Battle
Lexington and Concord was a battle between several hundred untrained minutemen and a group of British soldiers. The British were forced to retreat because there were too many minutemen. The British came to Concord to take over a weapon storing spot for the Minutemen.
