French and Indian war
The war began in the Ohio Valley River, George Washington was the one who started the war. He was only 21.
The colonists didn't see a need for the soldiers to be stationed in the colonies. -
Sugar Act
The sugar act is what it sounds like. The British legislative wanted an end to the smuggling trade for sugar and molasses.
The colonists were upset about the taxes added on. So the American and the British started a protest. -
Stamp Act
The stamp act started to put a price on all papers. Like newspapers, stamps, and papers for lawyers.
The colonists hated the stamp act. They protested once again, and they were saying the taxes violated the rights as British citizens. -
Declaratory Act
The declaratory act shows the American colonists that the British had the right to tax them for the stamp act.
Im sure the colonists were upset about the declaratory act because they dont want to pay the taxes. -
Townshend Act
The townshend act was a series of laws and they were passed by the British government. The British took away freedom and they also took away paper, paint and glass. As well as many other things.
The colonists were once again upset about the taxes, and they boycotted for the British goods. -
Tea Act
The tea act forced the colonists to trade and order tea from the company. The British company. They also use the ships from the company to ship the tea.
The colonists hated the tea act because they were promised no more taxes. When the tea act came out in 1773 they were forced to pay tax. -
Revolutionary War
The British soldiers for the battles of Lexington went through the militiamen clash. This marked the shot heard round the world, and this started the revolutionary war.
The colonists lost money, and trade. Colonists got their trade from England, and England lost some of the land. So after losing this the colonists were upset.
