    The French and Indian fought against George Washington and his army for land. At first, the French and the Indians win the fight, but then they lose which causes them (French and Indians) to lose a lot of land.
  • Stamp Act

  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    Colonists are required to house soldiers in their homes.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    British placed a tax on lead, paint, paper, glass, and tea imported from Britain.
  • Lexngton & Concord

    Lexngton & Concord
    British enters Lexngton. Captain John Parker got shot and 8 of his men were wounded. British leaves and enters Concord.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    British planned to take control of Breeds and Bunker Hill. American colonists took them down 2 times but got taken down on the third attempt. The British may have won, but the colonists gained confidence.
  • New York

    New York
    Washington moved his men across the East River from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Howe used a 3 prong attack strategy. Washington lost 2% of his men. Washington retreated to Manhattan.
  • Trenton

    Trenton
    Washington and his men were surprised and attacked by the Germans. Although they attacked, they still managed to take control of the entire garrison.
  • Treaty of Paris

    A treaty that was signed to end the Revolutionary War. It ended the war and recognized the United States as an Independent nation.
