    End of French and Indian War
    Out come of the war left Britain in debt and the colonists could keep taking land from the natives.
    The colonist were not happy because they had been doing this for almost a hundred years and were now limited.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Started enforcing taxes on imports from the Caribbean’s. The colonists were not happy because previously they had been smuggling the good and now they were getting busted and taxed on the goods.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    All printed material must now carry a stamp.colonist were unhappy because they used a lot of paper and unitedly all 13 colonies boycotted British goods.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    This act declared that the British parliament can tax the colonies but isn’t at the moment.
  • Town Shed Act

    Town Shed Act
    Created new laws to stop smuggling and reduced taxes after more boycotting on everything except tea. Some where happy and some were not, artisans profited while merchants lost tons of business due to the trade with Britain being the main source of income.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The tea act allowed tax breaks for Britain’s east Indian company so they could “dump cheap tea on the colonies” making the price of tea go down. This made the colonists unhappy because now the profit margin for tea smugglers and traders less.
  • Revolutionary War

    The colonies and Britain are officially at war. Not everyone was on board with the fight for independence some still viewed themself as British men fighting for their rights as British citizens, while others wanted independence from Britain.
