    End of the French and Indian War
    The end French and Indian War was good for England because they gained land. Despite this the colonists were not happy with the taxes implemented after the war.

    The sugar act made more goods taxed such as sugar, coffee, and wine. This didn’t make the colonists too happy because the taxes were from the England parliament.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act were taxes on papers and documents. The colonists were not happy about this act because the taxes were formed without their consent.
  • Townshead Act

    Townshead Act
    The Townshead Act put taxes on item that were being shipped to the colonies. Colonist did not like these taxes and even protested against it.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    The declaratory act let parliament have the right to power over the colonies. This didn’t make the colonists too happy because they didn’t feel that parliament had the right to control them and their taxes.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The tea act lowered prices on tea in the colonies. Although this sounded good colonists were not happy because they didn’t like the principle of the parliament controlling things.
  • Start of the Revolutionary War

    Start of the Revolutionary War
    This war started between the colonies and Britain on April 19th 1775. The colonists started this war because there was tension between them and Britain, to much control on the colonies.
